Rural Love

I am home now from my almost month long road trip. I totally miss being on the road in the middle of nowhere, small towns, new places. I have always defined myself as being a *city grrl* but I'm not sure if I can say that with confidence anymore. I do love the city - I love the diversity, activity, opportunities, and the fact that cities are more liberal than other parts of states. But, there is something nice about not seeing people for a whole day, being able to listen to silence, looking in any direction and seeing beautiful views, and reveling in the calmness of it all. During this trip I didn't feel the need to know what time it was or to have plans set in advance. I allowed myself to meet people, partake in new experiences, and enjoy the scenery. How often do I do that in the city? Hopefully I will be able to take some of this less rushed living into my life back in the city.

I love this dress:

(thought I would add a smiley pic for good measure)
dress & futuristic sunglasses - c/o American Deadstock
shorts - American Apparel
shoes & accessories - vintage

Life is treating me well right now. Thank you, world.

I've been listening to some really great music lately so for the next few posts I will share some of what I've been jamming to.
